High-Precision Hardened Gear Shaft | Carburized HRC 58-62 · DIN Grade 5
Sankuang Machinery specializes in high-precision gear shafts, accuracy DIN/ISO/GB Grade 5, surface hardness HRC 58-62. MOQ 1 piece.
Actual Case: A reducer manufacturer commissioned gear shafts (20CrMnTi, module 4, 32 teeth). Previous supplier had uneven carburized case causing early pitting, life under 8 months. We strictly controlled carburizing (case 0.8-1.2mm, surface HRC 58-62, core HRC 30-45) with double-center grinding, achieving DIN Grade 5. Client reported life extended to 2+ years.
Gear Manufacturing Methods:
Pre-Heat-Treatment: Gear hobbing (external, most common), gear shaping (internal/cluster), broaching/milling/planing
Post-Heat-Treatment: Gear grinding (main method for hard surfaces, form grinding for flexibility and accuracy), gear honing (corrects heat treatment defects, up to 80μm stock removal)
Gear Shaft Flow: Material prep → Die forging → Center drilling → Finish turning (double-center) → Gear hobbing → Gear shaving → Carburizing + Hardening → Grinding (double-center) → Inspection
